The Department of the Interior and Local Government of Zambales (DILG Zambales) headed by Dir. Armi V. Bactad, CESO V led the conduct of Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) for 2019 of the municipalities of Zambales on October 20, 2021 via Zoom Meeting Platform.
The provincial audit team composed of the following members assessed and evaluated the documents submitted by the LGUs: Ms. Carmela D. Pacis of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PWSDO), Ms. Myrna Empeno and Mr. Romar Jay Quijano of the Provincial Planning and Development Office, Ms. Ailyn Eay of the Department of Education, Mr. Christian Diomino Antiquera of the Provincial Health Office, Pastor Myrna Torres of the Civil Society Organization (CSO) with the DILG Provincial Personnel: LGOO VI Cindy C. Cagalitan, LGOO VI Kristine Joy B. Pesimo, LGOO II Paulin Johanne L. Reyes and LGOO II Aljon S. Bautista.

Being the Chairperson of the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF), the DILG Zambales led by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, spearheaded the conduct of the Provincial Validation on the Functionality of the Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) last October 19, 2021 via Zoom Meeting Platform.
The activity was attended by the PIMTF members: Ms. Carmela D. Pacis of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PWSDO), Atty. Joe Mari Nacin of the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Christian Diomino Antiquera of the Provincial Health Office, PMAJ Herminia Fontanilla of the Zambales Police Provincial Office, Pastor Myrna Torres of the Civil Society Organization (CSO) with the DILG Provincial Personnel: LGOO VI Cindy C. Cagalitan, LGOO VI Kristine Joy B. Pesimo, LGOO II Paulin Johanne L. Reyes and LGOO II Aljon S. Bautista.
LGOO VI Cindy Cagalitan discussed the guidelines of the functionality assessment and proceeded with the presentation of the result of the functionality audit. The PIMTF validated the result and agreed with the submission of the required forms.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales headed by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad,facilitated a 3-day Orientation-Workshop on the formulation of Capacity Development Agenda (CapDev)for the Local Government Unit (LGU) Capacity Development Committees from the 13 municipalities and provincial government of Zambales on October 6-8, 2021 via Zoom meetings platform— in anticipation for the implementation of the full devolution next year.
In attendance were the key members of the LGU Capacity Development Committee composed of the local chief executives (LCEs), vice mayors, local administrators, department heads and liga ng mga barangay (LnB) presidents of the 13 LGUs of Zambales including the Provincial Government of Zambales.
The activity aims to fully prepare the LGUs as they transition to full devolution through the initial step in looking into their capacities in performing the devolved duties and functions. The formulation of the CapDev Agenda plays a critical role in helping local officials map out their capacity development interventions to achieve desired results.
