The San Felipe, Zambales Municipal Inter Agency Task Force (MIATF) — led by Mayor Leo John M. Farrales — laid down initiatives to ensure the safety for each San Felipenian following the rapid increase in the recorded COVID-19 cases in the municipality.
As part of the undertaking, an emergency meeting attended by Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Levy C. Swing, Vice Mayor Mary Ann R. Quiba, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Punong Barangays, Department and Section Heads, Department of Education (DepEd) representative, Municipal Health Officer Salome Arinduque, M.D. and different stakeholders was called on January 10, 2022— to discuss the immediate steps needed to be carried-out to enforce stricter health protocols in the municipality, in consonance with recent reclassification of the Province to Alert Level 3.

The Local Government Unit of Botolan, Zambales— in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Botolan Field Office and the Philippine Army— highlighted the important role of the youth leaders in the continuing fight against insurgency and terrorism during a capacity development activity on leadership, social responsibility and moral recovery held on December 15, 2021 at Camp Kainomayan, Barangay San Juan, Botolan, Zambales.
Said undertaking was participated by the youth leaders of the Municipality— including the Sangguniang Barangay Chairpersons, Sangguniang Barangay Councils and members of the Local Youth Development Council composing of youth organizations, as well as youth serving organizations.
Captain Norman Oliver H. Adlaon, Commanding Officer of the 33rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army discussed the history and background of the Communist Party of the Philippines- New People’s Army- National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) and its deceptive recruitment strategy to the youth sector and indigenous people.

DILG Zambales headed by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V conducted a coordination meeting with the President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) regarding the status of implementation of the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) Program in the Municipality of Botolan, Zambales, today, December 16, 2021 via zoom meeting application.
Said meeting provided a venue for the PRMSU to update the DILG Zambales on the status of the CSIS implementation and share the challenges they encountered in implementing the said program.
The activity was attended by Dr. Elizabeth N. Farin- Vice president for Research, Extension, Training, and Production of PRMSU, Mr. Edwin E. Elane- Assistant Director for International linkages/CSIS Field Supervisor, Ms. Jesseca Ruth Diesta, CSIS Project Manager and DILG Zambales headed by Provincial Director Armi Bactad together with Cluster Team Leader Judith Romero, Program Manager Paulin Johanne Reyes, CSIS Provincial Focal Maharlina J. Tejada, Alternate Focal Person LGOO VI Dan A. Esteban and LGOO II Aljon S. Bautista.
