The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales successfully conducted the CY 2025 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) Provincial Orientation on February 20, 2025 via zoom meeting platform. The activity aimed to inform the barangays regarding the guidelines and familiarize them with the LTIA Information System.
LGOO VII Melissa D. Nipal, Cluster Team Leader of DILG Zambales warmly welcomed the participants and explained the importance of understanding LTIA guidelines in preparation for the search for outstanding lupong tagapamayapa in pursuit of championing the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) system.
LGOO II Alled Aron C. Dela Cruz, OIC-Capability Development Section Chief, discussed the Supplemental Guidelines to DILG Memorandum Circular 2024-174 which provides for the LTIA indicators as well as its implementation schedule for this year. Meanwhile, Engr. III Erixburg Johnrick P. Calilong conducted a walkthrough of the LTIA Information System.
221 participants composed of Punong Barangays and Barangay Secretaries across the province attended the activity. Also in attendance were members of the Municipal Awards Committee and Provincial Awards Committee.
Through this initiative, the DILG Zambales aims to increase the number of lupong tagapamayapa that will be recognized at the municipal, provincial, regional and national level.
LTIA aims to strengthen the Katarungang Pambarangay, recognize and reward the Lupong Tagapamayapa for their significant contributions to the Katarungang Pambarangay and encourage them to settle disputes at the grassroots level.
