The DILG Zambales personnel participated in the conduct of the CY 2019 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) during their Mid-Year Assessment Review on June 20, 2019 at Verde Azul Leisure Resort, Morong, Bataan.
The drill started at exactly 2:30 PM with the ringing of alarm indicating ground shaking during an earthquake which gave prompt to the DILG Zambales personnel to readily perform the “duck, cover and hold”. When the alarm stopped, everyone cautiously went out and proceeded to the designated evacuation area where they assembled and conducted the headcount.
Based on the observations of LGOO VI Dan A. Esteban, Disaster Preparedness Provincial Focal Person, the conduct of the drill was successful and the execution of the standard procedures has improved compared to the past NSEDs.
