The Municipal Road Clearing Task Force of the local government unit of San Antonio, Zambales­­ comprised of members from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) and municipal planning and development officeleads the on-site validation across the municipality’s fourteen (14) component barangays last January 13 and 14, 2021 to validate the outcome of their respective road clearing efforts which started in November last year.

The said initiative is in line with Municipal Mayor Preciliano M. Ruiz’s instruction for the immediate validation to ensure barangay compliance with the road clearing circular directive of the national government per DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-145.

The road clearing inspection team of the Municipality of Candelariacomposed of representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) and Municipal Traffic Management Group (MTMG)scheduled the periodic inspection along the municipality’s main thoroughfares, public market and talipapa joints in Barangays Poblacion and Catol on January 14, 2021.

This undertaking aimed to ensure and amplify the LGU’s compliance with the road clearing directives of the national government setting November 16, 2020 until January 15, 2021 for the local government units (LGUs) to comply as stipulated in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-145.

The Botolan Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) being led by Mayor Doris E. Maniquiz and Vice Mayor Doris D. Ladinesspearheaded the conduct of Serbisyo Caravana convergence of various national government agencies (NGAs), including the provincial government of Zambales (PGZ)to deliver services as they take note of the issues and concerns raised by the residents from the geographically isolated and displaced areas (GIDA) of Barangays Poonbato, Cabatuan, Maguisguis, Nacolcol and Villar— an effort to sustain the ideals of Executive Order No. 70 (Whole of Nation Approach) and the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).

The undertaking held on December 16-18, 2020 was supported by several offices from the PGZ as well as various NGAs namely, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales, Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Health (DOH), and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).

The provincial public order and safety cluster composed of the provincial government, league of municipalities, national government agencies, and civil society organizations— convened to discuss relevant peace and order concerns concentrating on countering societal conflicts through promotion of good governance— during its fourth quarter meeting on December 3, 2020 at Balin Sambali Training and Conference Center, Iba, Zambales.
In his guiding message, Governor Hermogenes Ebdane, Jr. encouraged the peace and order cluster, especially the municipal mayors— to advocate for the whole of nation approach to end local communist armed conflict.

The local government unit (LGU) of San Narciso, Zambales carried-out its public order and safety cluster meeting for the fourth quarter of 2020 on November 26, 2020. The activity was attended by the cluster’s regular members, LGU functionaries, and Punong Barangays. It was also graced by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Director Christan O. Frivaldo.

A highlight of the undertaking is the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the newly built Balay Silangan in the municipality— inking the partnership and commitment among stakeholders towards the municipality’s aspiration to be resistant from illegal drugs.

Masinloc, Zambales Mayor Arsenia J. Lim assured Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Provincial Officer Jigger Juniller that the municipality is one hundred percent committed in implementing programs and projects eradicating illegal drugs during the fourth quarter meeting of the peace and order and public safety cluster on November 25, 2020 held at the 3rd floor Municipal Hall, Masinloc, Zambales.

In relation to the commitment, activities that will be undertaken by the Local Government Unit (LGU) includesthe renovation and operationalization of the Balay Silangan (formerly designated as Bahay Pagbabago) at Barangay Sta. Rita, coordination with the Department of Health (DOH) for the training of Municipal Health Officer for drug personalities assessment, and intensifying of support to the anti-drug abuse councils at the barangay level.
