Road clearing (RC) validation teams of the 14 local government units (LGUs) in the Province of Zambales conducted their respective on-site validation which commenced last February 22-March 2, 2021 to inspect and ensure that all roads in the LGUs were cleared of illegal obstructions— following the President’s directive and pertinent Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) memoranda mandating all LGUs to continue to clear and restore roads for public use.
Preceding the scheduled validation, DILG Zambales Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad facilitated an online orientation on road clearing cross posting validation to DILG field officers and validation team members last February 19, 2021—to provide common understanding in the assessment and validation of the road clearing compliance of the local government units (LGUs) — aiming for a more effective and efficient validation of cleared roads.

LGU San Marcelino, DILG and MAC assess 18 barangays in search for the top lupon tagapamapayapa for 2021

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Marcelino, Zambales — in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Municipal Awards Committee (MAC) — assessed the LGU’s 18 barangays for the 2021 Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa on March 3, 2021 at the Liga ng mga Barangay Office.
The Municipal Awards Committee (MAC) led the annual assessment of the barangays’ level of performance in the katarungang pambarangay (KP) operations. The MAC was chaired by Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Reden Morris M. Vergara of the DILG and joined by members— Judge Ildefonso F. Recitis of Municipal Trial Court (MTC), Liga ng mga Barangay President Eddie Domingo, Police Executive Master Sergeant Jovelyn Mayor of San Marcelino Police Station, and CSO Representative Wenceslao Cawagas.
LGU SUBIC ADVOCATES A GENDER-RESPONSIVE AND DISCIPLINED GOVERNANCE

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Subic— in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Subic— has conducted a training/workshop on Gender and Development (GAD) and Disiplina Muna program held at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall on February 17, 2021.
The activity attended by the department heads and representatives from the national government agencies aimed to enrich the knowledge of the local officials in carrying out their roles and responsibilities on gender and development along with the requirements that are consonance with their tasks.
The training/workshop was facilitated by Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) VI Kristine Joy Pesimo of DILG Subic. Among the issues and concepts discussed include the use of Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) in the identification of projects and activities and crafting of the Gender and Development Plan and Budget.
Disiplina Muna focal person, Dr. Pamela Reyes-Gatdula reminded the participants on the essence of the program and likewise enjoined all offices to ardently support the undertakings of the local and national government in a gender-responsive and accountable demeanor.
