Seven (7) local government units (LGUs) in Zambales —Cabangan, Candelaria, Castillejos, Iba, Masinloc, San Felipe, and San Marcelino—have successfully undergone the national on-site validation for the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) from September 10 to 12, 2024, moving closer to earning the prestigious recognition of excellence in local governance.

Nitong ika-29 ng Agosto taong 2024, muling nagsanib-puwersa sa pagtalakay ng kasalukuyang kalagayan ng kaayusan at seguridad ng lalawigan ang mga kasapi ng Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC), Provincial Anti Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) at Provincial Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) sa isinagawang pulong ng mga konseho para sa ikatlong kwarter ng taon na ginanap sa Balin, Sambali, Iba, Zambales.
