In a Joint Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) - Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) Meeting presided by Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr., on June 24, 2020 at Balin Sambali, Iba, Zambales, programs, projects and activities (PPAs) were synchronized to come up with strategic and systematic interventions to support the National Government in its efforts to maintain peace and order and safety despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The activity, in coordination with DILG Zambales headed by PD Armi V. Bactad, was attended by PPOC and PADAC Members, PTF-ELCAC Members, DILG Zambales Team and other local functionaries.

CASTILLEJOS’ PEACE AND ORDER AND PUBLIC SAFETY CLUSTER STRATEGIZES FOR THE FORTHCOMING “NEW NORMAL”

The Municipality of Castillejos’ Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Cluster convened to ensure a smooth transition to the “New Normal”. On June 24, 2020 the meeting was presided by the POPS Cluster Chairperson, Hon. Eleanor D. Dominguez held at the Rooftop of the Municipal Building.
Composed of the Peace and Order Council (POC) , Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC), Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (TF-ELCAC), Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) , Solid Waste Management Board, Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) , Local Council on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC), and the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) , each council presented their actions taken, plans for the second semester and proposed measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The meeting focused on the impacts of the municipal ordinances and executive orders that supported the actions and directives of the National Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) in the fight against COVID-19. As a result of the effective and strict implementation of these orders, a significant drop in the recorded crimes and untoward incidents of the LGU was observed.
CABANGAN MIATF PREPARES FOR MGCQ

Cabangan, Zambales – On June 18, 2020, the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF), together with the Punong Barangays and Barangay Secretaries, convened to discuss the guidelines on Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) as the Province of Zambales’ shift to MGCQ took effect.
Mr. Manolito C. Donatos, Local Civil Registrar and Secretary of the Municipal Mayor, presented the provisions in Executive Order No. 19, series of 2020 and Executive Order No. 19-A, series of 2020 issued by Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr. Subsequently, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Representative Jayson M. Tenerife enumerated the establishments and activities under Categories I to IV that are allowed in MGCQ. He emphasized that resorts may operate, provided that such have secured certificate of authority from the Department of Tourism.
Engr. Mary Susan Mae P. Torres, Municipal Engineer, reiterated the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) Order No. 39, series of 2020. She reminded that construction safety guidelines shall still be complied with in all construction projects even under the new phase of the community quarantine.
During the meeting, issues and concerns on religious gatherings, opening of videoke bars, operation of resorts, and small-scale constructions were raised. LGOO V Nedricks P. Canlas, OIC-MLGOO, provided clarifications on such and gave his recommendations to the body. As the DILG Officer of Cabangan, he made sure that the MIATF’s resolutions were aligned with the national guidelines.
