Rapid Subproject Sustainability Assessment: DILG Zambales ensures functional and operational Locally-Funded Projects in the Province

To continuously monitor and ensure that all completed Locally-Funded Projects in the Province of Zambales are still operational and functional, DILG Zambales, in coordination with the Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province, conducted the Rapid Subproject Sustainability Assessment (RSSA) on March 3-12, 2020. Among the municipalities assessed were Botolan, Candelaria, Masinloc, Palauig, and Sta. Cruz.
RSSA aims to ensure that the projects funded by the National Government were provided with proper maintenance and sustainability plan to further maximize its intended purpose and continuously assist the LGUs in the delivery of basic services to its constituents.
The Municipality of Botolan expressed their gratitude to the National Government for the implementation of the DILG Programs that caters the needs of the LGUs from infrastructure projects to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)-related projects. Through the Assistance to Municipalities (AM) Programs of the Department, LGU Botolan procured two (2) DRR Rescue Vehicle which greatly assisted the Municipality in carrying out prompt response to disaster-related incidents. Likewise, thru the Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) Program, core local access road improvements/upgrading in Sitio Bihawo, Brgy. Mambog and Brgy. San Juan improved the mobility of the residents while Potable Water Supply in Brgy. Maguisguis, Brgy. Palis, Brgy. Moraza and Brgy. Nacolcol have provided safe potable water supply in the said localities.
