Zambales PPOC & PADAC : Enhancing Peace and Order through Collaboration

The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) in its continuing effort to strengthen interventions on the campaign against criminality and illegal drugs held its third quarterly joint meeting. In behalf of Gov. Amor D. Deloso, Vice Governor Angelica Magsaysay-Cheng presided the meeting on September 19, 2017 at the Zambales Training and Conference Center, Iba, Zambales
The activity was attended by the PPOC members, PADAC members, Municipal Mayors, DILG Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, Supt. Oriano Mina, representative from PNP, BFP Provincial Fire Marshal C/Insp. Ronnie B. Barrera, NGA Representatives, Provincial Gov’t Head of Offices, CSOs and the media.
In her message Vice Governor Magsaysay-Cheng recognized the need to help victims of illegal drugs which inspired her to advocate a comprehensive rehabilitation program. The program which is in partnership with the religious sector is proposed to establish its facility at the municipality of Castillejos as majority of drug cases are recorded in the Southern part of Zambales. Major concerns have been discussed in the meeting including illegal drugs, illegal gambling, terrorism, and insurgency by the representatives from the PNP, AFP and PDEA.
PD Bactad had also briefly discussed the MASA MASID and CLIP program which are vital programs of the DILG in its pursuit to promote and maintain peace and order.
