International Coastal Cleanup is the largest volunteer effort for ocean's health. Held annually, every third Saturday of September, people around the world gather on beaches, coasts, rivers, waterways and underwater dive sites to remove trash and record information on the debris collected. However, ICC Philippines set the Nationwide Coastal Clean Up Day to October 6 in the country to assure health and safety of the volunteers from water transmissible diseases and dangerous debris brought by floods after the heavy monsoon rain.
