AN AUDIO VIDEO PRESENTATION
As part of the 24th Anniversary Celebration of the Local Government Code of 1991, Zambales Team composed of Barangay Officials from Cabangan and Botolan competed in the “Tagisan ng Talino: The Local Government Challenge on October 15, 2015 at Royal Goftel, Angeles City wherein Barangay Secretary Jeanne May Diaz of San Juan Botolan emerged as the regional champion for the Essay Writing Contest.
The activity which was participated in by Barangay Officials from the seven (7) provinces and two (2) cities in Region 3 aimed to enable barangay officials to share their innate knowledge, skills and talents and identify their crucial role on good governance based on their actual involvement in barangay affairs and their performance of duties and functions as barangay officials and functionaries
Brgy. Sec. Diaz was among the six (6) Barangay Officials who represented the province and competed for the four (4) categories which were Impromptu Speech, Essay Writing, Quiz Bee and On-The-Spot Poster Making Contest. Other Barangay Officials were: Brgy. Sec. Janett de Guzman and Brgy. Tres. Lorna de Guzman both from New San Juan, Cabangan; Brgy. Kgd. Max Domacena from Carael; Brgy. Kgd. Maribel Ravelo from Malomboy; and Brgy. Kgd. Mario Quinsay from Burgos all from the Municipality of Botolan.
Each contestant received certificate of recognition. Moreover, the winning piece written by Brgy. Sec Diaz will be featured as part of the DILG R3 Annual Report 2015. She also received a cash prize amounting to P7,000 which was awarded on the same day.
