AN AUDIO VIDEO PRESENTATION
DILG Zambales, in its effort to intensify advocacy for the 24th Local Government Code (LGC) Anniversary guested at Radyo Natin 105.7 Mhz during the program of Bishop Virginio Ducos last October 6, 2014 to promote the upcoming activities in line with its celebration.
LGOO VI / Cluster Team Leader Deborah A. Mangayan discussed the legal basis of the said celebration. She likewise stressed the importance of the LGC in making our LGUs self-sufficient and self-reliant. She also informed the public on the guidelines for the conduct of the 2nd Semester 2015 Synchronized Barangays Assembly which is set on the second Sunday of October.
On the other hand, LGOO II Maria Melanie M. Gutierrez, designated Information Officer briefly orient the public on the recently conducted Thanksgiving Mass to jumpstart the LG Code anniversary held at the Regional Office last October 1, 2015. She also provided relevant information on the line-up of activities to be conducted for the month-long celebration. She specifically encouraged Barangay Officials to join in the Tagisan ng Talino for Barangays Officials on October 15, 2015.
Bishop Ducos commended the leadership of Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad and stressed the vital role of the DILG in capacitating the LGUs toward the path of good governance. He also said that the theme “Matatag na Republika sa LGU ang Simula, captured the importance of capacitating first our LGUs to become excellent, transparent and accountable in order to build a strong Nation.
