Barangay Lomboy, Cabangan has successfully spearheaded its Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) Clean-up on June 8, 2024, and was chosen as the Regional Showcase Barangay for the 22nd Week implementation of the Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas Program in Region III.
Prior to actual clean-up, a short program was held at the Lomboy Barangay Plaza which was attended by PB Roel D. Torres and Barangay Council of Lomboy, LGOO VI Suslijah John N. Gesmundo, MLGOO of Cabangan, representatives from DILG Zambales Provincial Office, and various local residents and volunteer groups.
In his message, PB Torres extended his gratitude to everyone who attended the activity, and encouraged them to maintain the cleanliness of the barangay and continue participating in the program even during regular days.
LGOO VI Gesmundo underscored in his message the goals of the Bagong Pilipinas Program, and wished that the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) program be sustained in Barangay Lomboy.
As Barangay Lomboy unites towards a common goal, their commitment serves as an inspiration for others, highlighting the collective responsibility of all the citizens towards achieving safer, cleaner, and liveable communities.
