The DILG Zambales Provincial Monitoring Team (PMT) conducted project inspection on January 11, 2024 in Sta. Cruz, Zambales. Engr. Nicole Shane L. Pampanga and PEO I Bryan B. Allejos were joined by LGOO VI Maharlina J. Tejada, Engr. Darwin Bejasa and Engr. Albert Marce of the Municipal Engineering Office and the respective Punong Barangays.
The inspection is to guarantee that the implementation of the three (3) “Concreting of Farm-to-Market Road” projects under the Local Government Support Fund- Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) adheres to high-quality standards and complies with national regulations.
The three (3) barangays—Babuyan, Biay, and Lucapon South—were the subject of the LGUs road development project. The objective of the projects was to facilitate residents' mobility between barangays and enhance the transportation of goods and produce from their localities to the market area.
The ongoing project implementation in Brgys. Babuyan and Biay are now with a physical accomplishment of 65% and 78.95%, respectively, while the project in Brgy. Lucapon South is already 100% completed. The DILG PMT facilitated the monitoring, which includes (1) reviewing the compliance of the LGU with the documentary requirements mentioned in the Project Monitoring Checklist, (2) visiting the site location and monitor the progress of project implementation in accordance with the approved contract and compliance with the design, plan, and specifications, and (3) completing the Quality Assurance Assessment Report (QAAR), a tool which evaluates a project’s compliance with the minimum standards.
An exit conference with the LGU functionaries of Sta. Cruz was also facilitated. The discussion zeroed in on the findings on the conducted site validation and proposed recommendations. During the conference, the LGU laid down their commitments in addressing the findings and the timeline on the rectification and submission of required documents.##
