Earlier today, the Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot para sa lahat (LAB for All) Project was conducted at Botolan’s People’s Plaza, Botolan, Zambales. The program started at 6:00 am for the pre-listing of interested individuals for the free health care check-up provided by medical staff and volunteer doctors.
LAB for All is an initiative of First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos that aims to provide free medical consultation, laboratory services, and medicines to thousands of individuals specially to senior citizens and indigenous peoples. In her message, FL Marcos outlined one of the messages of PBBM during his SONA “We must bring health services closer to the people and not wait for them to come”.
This program was made possible in partnership with the Provincial Government of Zambales under the leadership of Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. and National Government Agencies of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and Philippines Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) for the private sector.
Usec. Atty. Odilon L. Pasaraba, representing the DILG, also shows support to the project of FL Marcos, “ang bagong Gobyerno ay nagmamalasakit sa mga kapakanan ng ating mamamayang Pilipino katuwang ang DILG at ang Lokal na Pamahalaan”
To ensure a successful activity, different stations were provided to serve 1000 Non-IPs and 500 IPs, and an additional for walk-in patients. The stations provided were Registration, PhilHealth Registration, taking of Vital Signs, number of consultations (Medical, Pedia, Optal, Dental, Circumcision, and surgery of Minor Lumps), Laboratory, to giving of free medicines and vitamins.
The Provincial Government provided the sumptuous meal for the visitors and everyone who attended the activity among others.
