AN AUDIO VIDEO PRESENTATION
The League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Zambales Chapter, headed by Mayor Jeffrey D. Khonghun, conducted its Monthly Meeting last May 03, 2023 at the Municipality of Botolan, Zambales.
The proposal for the establishment of “Zambales Bahay Kalinga” was presented by 1st District Representative Doris B. Maniquiz. Bahay Kalinga will serve as the second home for the children who experienced sexual abuse and exploitation. A facility design to have complete amenities, maintenance and other operating expenses which will provide for their daily needs. All Mayors and other stakeholders expressed their support for the success of the program.
Meanwhile, Provincial Director Martin Porres B. Moral, CESO V discussed the status of the implementation of Locally Funded Projects (LFPs), schedule of the upcoming audits and the results of the recently conducted functionality assessments; (i) F.Y. 2022 Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC); (ii) F.Y. 2022 Child Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA); and (iii) F.Y. 2022 Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC). The presentation of the 2021 to 2022 assessments showed a significant increase of the rating which was received by the Local Government Units (LGUs).
PD Moral commended the LGUs performance and efforts resulting to a significant increase in their rating along various governance areas.
Present also during the meeting are Vice Governor Jacqueline Rose F. Khonghun, Vice Mayor Doris D. Ladines, SB Members, Local Functionaries, Investors and other National Agencies (NGAs).
