Fostering Social Sector Advancements thru Good Local Governance: DILG Zambales conducts Orientation on CFLGA, LCPC and LCAT-VAWC Assessments

In a strategic move towards strengthening its commitment to child welfare and community safety, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Zambales in partnership with the Provincial Government of Zambales, conducted an Orientation on Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) and Training on Strengthening the Local Councils for the Protection of Children (LCPCs) and Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWCs) on February 01, 2024 at Balin Sambali, Iba, Zambales.
The activity was overwhelmingly attended by the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF) members, Local Planning Officers, Local Social Welfare Development Officers, Local Health Officers/Local Nutrition Action Officers, DepEd Representatives, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and DILG Local Government Operations Officers of the 13 municipalities of Zambales and Olongapo City.
The activity highlights the discussion of LGOO V Rose Ann Agostosa, LGOO V Jacqueline Calimlim, and LGOO II Aljon Bautista together with LGOO II John Carlo Vergara on the updated guidelines for this year’s CFLGA and functionality assessments of the LCPC and LCAT-VAWC along with the presentation of gaps and areas for improvements based on the previous audit results.
