                 AN AUDIO VIDEO PRESENTATION    

A milestone event was celebrated by the local government unit of Palauig, Zambales on August 19, 2019 during the Inauguration and Blessing of its new Evacuation Center situated at the heart of the town. This 1,236 sqm facility amounting to Php8, 978,674.00 is one of the identified priority projects of the LGU under the 2017 Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

 

The newly inaugurated one-storey disaster facility can accommodate over 1,641 evacuees and is equipped with basic amenities such as potable water, electricity, communal kitchen and dining, comfort rooms for male and female and a separate restroom for person with disabilities. Other equally important components include the offices for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWDO), Clinic Infirmary, Breastfeeding Area and Stock Room.

The simple but meaningful event was officiated by Rev. Fr. Orlando Correa from Immaculate Concepcion Parish and witnessed by LGU’s local officials and department heads. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Vice Mayor Arnold Anaud and assisted by LGOO VI Rolando M. Rillon, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) of Palauig.
