                 AN AUDIO VIDEO PRESENTATION    

     Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) Chairperson Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr. convened the members of the council in a meeting held at the Balin Sambali (Zambales Hotel), Iba, Zambales on July 28, 2015.  This is the second PPOC meeting of the province for CY 2015 which was organized thru the effort of the DILG led by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V, PPOC head secretariat, in close coordination with the Provincial Government.

Members of the PPOC in attendance included Lt. Col. Monib T. Mamao (Philippine Army), F/Supt. Jonas R. Silvano (BFP), Fe Y. Gallardo (PSWDO), Jesus Manapat (NBI), Nelda D. Maycong (PPO 1st District, DOJ), Romulo Manangan (PPO 2nd District, DOJ), Laudemir S. Salac (PENRO) and Bishop Virginio Ducos (Hiyas ng Pag-Asa).  SSupt. Jacquiline Puapo represented the PNP. Atty. Gladys Bautista, PPO, Evangeline Bulda, DTI, Engr. Magiting Cruz, DPWH and Jeffrey Hunt Gonzales. LTO also attended the said meeting.

    Also present were Vice-Governor Ramon G. Lacbain II; Mayors Doris M. Jeresano (Botolan), Ronaldo F. Apostol (Cabangan), Napoleon E. Edquid (Candelaria), Jose Angelo M. Dominguez (Castillejos), Generoso F. Amog (Palauig), Carolyn S. Fariñas (San Felipe), Peter T. Lim (San Narciso), Jose F. Rodriguez (San Marcelino) and Consolacion M. Marty (Sta. Cruz).  The mayors of Iba, Masinloc, San Antonio and Subic were well represented during the meeting.

     MLGOOs, Chiefs of Police and Municipal Fire Marshals from the thirteen (13) municipalities were also present, along with the province’s department heads.

The meeting was highlighted with the presentation from the Parole and Probation Office and both Philippine Army (PA) and the PNP in maintaining peace and order in the province.  In particular, Ms. Maycong from 1st District PPO, manifested their agency’s support to all the programs of PPOC, geared towards a peaceful and orderly province. Lt. Col Mamao of the PA discussed the current status of insurgency and CLIP along with the programs that they are currently implementing.  The PNP, meanwhile, highlighted their continuing programs in maintaining safety within the community.

An awarding ceremony took place wherein the 2015 Best Lupong Tagapamayapa for the 1st-3rd Municipal Class Category – Barangay San Isidro, Subic and 4th-6th Municipal Class Category – Barangay Sto. Niño were awarded glass trophies and monetary incentives by the Provincial Government.

Finally, Gov. Ebdane expressed his deep gratitude for all the members of the PPOC, specifically the DILG Family for all the effort in maintaining peace and order in the province. To sustain the unified mechanism and establish a regular coordination among its members, the Council agreed to conduct its next meeting tentatively on September 22, 2015.
