In line with the objectives to strengthen the knowledge foundation and readiness of personnel in response to emergency situations, DILG Zambales took part in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, March 25, 2024.
National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is a program and a quarterly exercise by the National Government, in partnership with National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and other agencies, aims to assess individual readiness to respond to emergency situations like a strong earthquake.
During the orientation, LGOO II Alled Aron C. Dela Cruz emphasized crucial information about what to do before, during, and after an earthquake. He stresses the value of maintaining composure and being knowledgeable in order to protect oneself from the risks associated with emergency situations.
DILG Zambales urges the public to be involved in the event like this, as these drills contribute to saving lives and reducing the potential number of casualties caused by earthquakes.
