The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales concluded its regular Provincial Team Conference (PTC) on March 14, 2024, with a comprehensive discussion on various programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing performance in local governance and community development.
During the conference, LGOO V Paulin Johanne L. Reyes, Monitoring and Evaluation Section (MES) Chief, and LGOO II Alled Aron C. Dela Cruz, discussed the upcoming assessments for the 2023 Peace and Order Council (POC) and Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC), outlining the indicators and schedule of activities. Further, LGOO II Aljon S. Bautista presented a comprehensive run through of the results of the initial assessment for the Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA).
The conference also highlighted the status updates on the Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan Policy Compliance Monitoring System (POPSP-PCMS) and Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) submission, to ensure the continuous monitoring of Local Government Units’ (LGUs’) adherence in upholding transparency and accountability.
Further, LGOO V Jacqueline A. Calimlim, Capability Development Section (CDS) Chief, outlined the upcoming schedules for the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards (LTIA), Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), and Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) assessments. Compliance status of the LGUs in various CDS-related reports, updates on Locally Funded Projects (LFPs) and the initial assessment results of the 2023 Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) Functionality were also shared. As part of the continuous effort in empowering personnel, Cluster Team Leader Melissa D. Nipal reorient field officers on the review of LGUs’ Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget.
In his message, Provincial Director Martin Porres B. Moral encouraged Field Officers to continue supporting their respective LGUs in their pursuit of good governance, with the end goal of increasing the count of Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Awardees in Zambales. He likewise underscored the significance of closely monitoring and evaluating LFPs to ensure transparency and accountability in local governance, specifically in the execution of infrastructure projects. PD Moral also took the opportunity to congratulate the recently promoted LGOO VI Rose Ann D. Agostosa, full-fledged Program Manager, and LGOO V Paulin Johanne L. Reyes, for their outstanding contributions and achievements.
The conference also served as a venue for setting the performance commitments and targets through a planning session. CTL Nipal and PM Agostosa cascaded their respective Division Performance Commitment Review (DPCRs) to agree on the deliverables of the team and each personnel.
The activity concluded with all members of team reinvigorated with passion as they continue to bridge the gaps under the brand “????.????.????.????.????.????.????." which means, ????ersonnel ????valuation and ????e-calibration towards e????fective, ????utstanding and ????eliable tea????.
