                 AN AUDIO VIDEO PRESENTATION    

The Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) Provincial Core Agencies, with the                                                                                                                  Provincial Agriculture Office as the lead convenor, and various National Government Agencies (NGAs) including the DILG as co-convenors, spearheaded the successful simultaneous launching of KNP in the 13 municipalities of Zambales on February 19, 2024.

Various activities, including a province-wide motorcade featuring the representatives from the KNP Provincial Core Agencies, were held as an opening salvo of the program. The motorcade started at 7:00AM in the municipality of Sta. Cruz with short stopovers at every Kadiwa Center in each municipality.

 

The municipality of Botolan, where a short program was held, was chosen as the Provincial Showcase Municipality.  Various elected officials, national  and local government functionaries and employees, and guests from various non-government organizations were present during the program. 

 

Hon. Jun Omar C. Ebdane, Municipal Mayor of Botolan, expressed his gratitude to the  Provincial Core Agencies for their initiative to conduct a simultaneous launching of KNP, and pledged his full support to the program. He also vowed to help the children of the farmers and fisherfolk of Botolan by granting them scholarships.

 

Mr. Crisostomo R. Rabaca, OIC-Provincial Agriculturist, highlighted in his speech that the seamless collaboration of the Provincial Core Agencies has resulted in the success of the simultaneous municipal launching of KNP.

 

Ms. Maricel L. Dullas, OIC-Chief, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division, Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office III, mentioned in her message that among the provinces in Region III, Zambales is the first to simultaneously launch Kadiwa ng Pangulo at the municipal level. 

 

ADA IV Lloyd Janver S. Apan, the designated focal person of DILG Zambales, reiterated the full support of the Department to the said program.  He underscored the significance of establishing a platform for local producers to sell their goods, ensuring that consumers have access to affordable yet high-quality products.ADA IV Apan also thanked the prompt response of the KNP Provincial Core Agencies to the President’s call. He also thanked the LGU of Botolan for their support to the program and wished that it would be sustained for the benefit of their constituents.

 

Kadiwa ng Pangulo is a program launched by the Office of the President, through the DILG, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and other National Government Agencies (NGAs),  that aims to provide the local producers a direct market to sell their products and give consumers an access to purchase commodities at a much cheaper cost. KNP is expected to be institutionalized in every municipality starting this year.
