With the aim of providing additional support to the Local Government Units, the DILG Zambales conducted a Provincial Seminar-Workshop on the use of Peace and Order and Public Safety Plans – Policy Compliance Monitoring System (POPSP-PCMS) on February 15, 2024, at the Balin Sambali, Iba, Zambales. This effort is intended to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of LGUs' compliance with the reportorial requirements through the system.
In her opening remarks, LGOO V Jacqueline A. Calimlim, Capability Development Section (CDS) mentioned that this workshop will serve as a platform for collaboration and dialogue, wherein they will explore together the innovative strategies and best practices of each LGU to enhance public safety and security.
LGOO II Alled Aron C. Dela Cruz, Program Focal Person,discussed the objectives of the training as well as the importance of the POPSP PCMS and why it is necessary for it to be constantly updated, LGOO II Dela Cruz provided a comprehensive walkthrough on how to navigate the system and reminded all functionaries of the upcoming deadline for the submission and encoding of forms and reports.
Moreover, the issues and concerns raised by the participants were adequately addressed and the DILG Zambales team guaranteed to provide the LGU with all the technical assistance they need to fully grasp the ins and outs of the system.
The orientation was actively participated by the Provincial and Municipal POC and POPSP PCMS Focal Persons of the 13 municipalities and spearheaded by the DILG Zambales Provincial Office.
