In a groundbreaking initiative, the Municipality of San Antonio, Zambales pioneered the hosting of the Lady Legislators’ League of the Philippines, Inc. (Four-L) Municipal Chapter Election on February 15, 2024. Spearheaded by Hon. Elizabeth Ablog, in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Field Office of San Antonio, this landmark event marks a significant stride towards gender equality and inclusive governance.

Female legislators representing all 14 barangays converged to participate in this endeavor where their collective presence underscored a resounding commitment to amplifying the voices of women in local decision-making processes.

In her speech, Hon. Ablog stressed the importance of female representation in legislation, emphasizing their innate understanding of community needs and priorities. She further highlighted their invaluable contribution to fostering collaboration and advancing programs geared toward women's empowerment.

The program was also attended by Mayor Edzel Lonzanida, MD, and Vice Mayor Atty. Joseph Jonathan Bactad. To cap the event, Mayor Lonzanida administered the oath-taking of the first set of officers.

Hon. Ablog is the only female Sanggunian Bayan Member of San Antonio and the Municipality is the first and currently the only LGU in Zambales to undertake the 4L Municipal Chapter election.
