The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales held its regular Provincial Team Conference (PTC) on July 31, 2023 to present the 1st Semester accomplishments and formulate strategies in carrying out systems and mechanisms to be able to effectively deliver the mandates of the Department and provide seamless public service to its clientele.
LGOO V Rose Ann D. Agostosa, Planning Officer, presented the Operations Plan and Budget (OPB) for 2nd Semester 2023 as well as the results of Local Government Units’ performance that have undergone various functionality assessments during the first half of the year.
As one of the highlights of the activity and in view of the team’s aspirations in upholding excellent performance in assisting the Local Government Units (LGUs) in various aspects of local governance, Field Officers formulated their individual plan of actions in bridging the gaps identified during the recently conducted assessments which shall be executed for the remaining half of the year until the 1st quarter of 2024.
In light of the highly anticipated 2023 Local Legislative Award (LLA), LGOO II Paulin Johanne L. Reyes also discussed the schedule of activities and indicators of the LLA which recognizes the exemplary performance of the Local Sanggunians.
Likewise, the status of submission of reports under the Capacity Development Section (CDS) and Monitoring and Evaluation Section (MES) were also presented to meet the target time frame of submission. Also, the Provincial Engineers reminded the field officers of the submission of reports and documents relative to the implementation of Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) Projects.
DILG Zambales also expressed their warm welcome to the Apprentices for the 3rd Component (Supervised Field Work) of the Apprentices Program for LGOOs II and III-Batch 55, who are currently assigned in the Municipality of Botolan, Zambales.
After the conference, the team conducted “TREAT”- Thanksgiving and Recognition of Exemplar Achievement for ouTgoing personnel for LGOO VI Kristine Joy B. Pesimo, as an appreciation for her eight years of admirable and outstanding service to DILG Zambales.
