   To ensure accountability and clarity of the objectives of the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) and guide LGU beneficiaries regarding administrative requirements and eligible projects, an orientation-briefing was conducted by DILG R-3 on January 3, 2013 at the Regional Office Conference Room, DMGC, Maimpis City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

   DILG R-3 Regional Director Florida M. Dijan delivered the welcome remarks and gave a brief history of the Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) and PCF.  In her message, she encouraged the LGU representatives to continue complying with the requirements of the SGH to enable them to continuously avail of the PCF Subsidy. During the orientation, ARD Abraham A. Pascua led the technical discussion and open forum together with Monitoring and Evaluation Division (MED) Chief Lerrie S. Hernandez and SGH-PCF Program Officer Ener P. Cambronero.

   Upon completion of documentary requirements, the Department will be awarding an amount of Forty-Seven Million Pesos (Php 47,000,000.00) for the 3rd tranch PCF allocation to 9 additional beneficiaries last year composed of 5 provinces and 4 cities of Region 3 namely,  Bataan; Bulacan; Nueva Ecija; Pampanga; Tarlac; Angeles City; Olongapo City; Cabanatuan City; and City of San Fernando.

   As recipients of the Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) 2011 Round 2, these LGUs can now access the PCF in the amount of Seven Million Pesos for provinces and Three Million for cities.  The grant will be used to support local projects aligned to the achievement of the national government thrust and priorities.
