Relative for this year’s Search for Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa, PD Armi V. Bactad of DILG Zambales convened the LTIA Provincial Awards Committee on February 18, 2016 at DILG Zambales Provincial Office, Iba, Zambales. The LTIA Provincial Awards Committee composed of LnB Regional President Romelino R. Gojo,

PNP Provincial Director PSSUPT. Eli G. Depra, CSO Representative Bishop Virginio D. Ducos and DOJ Representative Merilyn B. Dasig is tasked to review and assess all the entries from the 13 Municipalities of Zambales. 

LTIA

Entries are grouped into two categories, 1st-3rd Class Municipalities and 4th-6th Class Municipalities. For 1st-3rd Class Municipal Category, the entries of Brgy. San Juan of Botolan, Brgy. Pamibian of Candelaria, Brgy. San Nicolas of Castillejos, Brgy. San Agustin of Iba, Brgy. Collat of Masinloc, Brgy. San Miguel of San Antonio, Brgy. Consuelo Sur of San Marcelino, Brgy. Lipay of Sta. Cruz and Brgy. San Isidro, Subic, Zambales contends while Brgy. Camiing of Cabangan, Brgy.   Sto. Niño, San Felipe and Brgy. Libertad, San Narciso, Zambales competes for the 4th-6th Class Municipal Category.

After conducting a careful review and assessment on all the documents submitted, the LTIA Provincial Awards Committee headed by PD Bactad proclaimed Brgy. San Juan, Botolan as the winner for the 1st-3rd class municipal category while Brgy. Sto. Niño, San Felipe, Zambales topped the 4th-6th class municipal category for the third time since 2013. Said entries will represent the province in the regional level.

The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) was established pursuant to Section 406 (b) of the Local Government Code and through Executive Order 394 of 1997.  LTIA aims to institutionalize a system of granting economic benefits to outstanding lupons, strengthen the Katarungang Pambarangay as an indigenous conflict resolution structure at the grassroots level, and generate awareness and support on KP as a potent vehicle toward social order.
