The San Narciso, Zambales peace and order and public safety (POPS) cluster — composed of the Liga ng mga Barangay, representatives from national government agencies and civil society organizations — convened to discuss relevant issues and strengthen local POPS plan and interventions during its first quarter meeting on March 11, 2021 at the 3rd Floor of the Municipal Hall, Barangay Libertad, San Narciso, Zambales.
Ultimately, the meeting served as an avenue to orchestrate all of the stakeholders' plans and efforts in keeping the municipality peaceful and safe in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and transition to the new normal.
Road clearing (RC) validation teams of the 14 local government units (LGUs) in the Province of Zambales conducted their respective on-site validation which commenced last February 22-March 2, 2021 to inspect and ensure that all roads in the LGUs were cleared of illegal obstructions— following the President’s directive and pertinent Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) memoranda mandating all LGUs to continue to clear and restore roads for public use.
Preceding the scheduled validation, DILG Zambales Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad facilitated an online orientation on road clearing cross posting validation to DILG field officers and validation team members last February 19, 2021—to provide common understanding in the assessment and validation of the road clearing compliance of the local government units (LGUs) — aiming for a more effective and efficient validation of cleared roads.
