Tarlac City, Tarlac I The Municipality of Anao, under the leadership of Mayor Gian Pierre O. De Dios received the award as one of the National Awardee of 2021 ADAC Performance Audit on December 13, 2022 at Tent City, The Manila Hotel, 1 Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila.

This event aims to recognize the outstanding performance of provincial, city and municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs), which garnered perfect scores in both functionality and awarding assessments, related to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of anti-illegal drug activities of LGUs.

DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad and LGOO VI Jessica Esguerra were present to witness this momentous event. LGU-Anao exemplifies good performance in fight against proliferation of illegal drugs in the country.

On November 24, 2022, the new DILG Central Luzon Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III, paid his courtesy to the Tarlac Province’s Governor, Hon. Susan A. Yap.

Governor Yap warmly welcomed RD Nuyda and assured him that the Provincial Government of Tarlac will, as always, be consistently supporting the Department’s aspirations. She also mentioned that she is looking forward to working with the new management of DILG Central Luzon under RD Nuyda’s leadership.

DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the governor for her support and aid extended to the DILG Tarlac.

RD Nuyda and PD Bactad also extended their congratulations to the Provincial Government of Tarlac, along with the nine (9) municipalities and one (1) city of the province for being awardees of the 2021 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

Tarlac City, Tarlac | The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Development Council (PDC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC)— all chaired by Governor Susan A. Yap, convened on December 1, 2022 at Old SP Hall, Tarlac Provincial Capitol, Tarlac City, Tarlac for the 4th Quarter Joint Council Meeting.

Governor Yap presided over the activity to discuss about the Province’s gains and challenges, while representatives from the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battallion, Phillipine Drug Enforcement Agency, Tarlac Police Provincial Office, Bureau of Fire Protection Tarlac Provincial Hospital, Provincial Tourism Office, and the Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Office relayed their respective updates relative to the Council’s duties as the last quarter of the year concludes.

The meeting also served as a venue to acknowledge the Province’s 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) and Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) awardees, while Philippine National Police’s KAPULISAN SIMBAHAN PAMAYANAN (KASIMBAYANAN) Program was unanimously adopted by the council.

Under the Local Government Code of 1991, Provinces, Cities and Municipalities must establish functional Peace and Order Councils across the country to ensure that efforts on anti-criminality, anti-illegal drugs, and anti- insurgency are in place, further safeguarding the welfare of the people.

Tarlac City, Tarlac I After two years of celebrating Christmas with restrictions due to COVID-19, the Provincial Government of Tarlac under the leadership of Governor Susan A. Yap headed the Belen and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1, 2022, at the Maria Cristina Park, Tarlac City, Tarlac.

The spectacle was organized for Tarlaqueños to feel the spirit of the Holiday Season and to remind them of the true essence of Christmas—to reflect upon the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who came to give us love, hope and joy.

DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad together with the DILG provincial office staff were present to witness this event.

EARLIER | As a follow-up to the status of each LGU's Locally Funded Projects, DILG Tarlac once again convened all LGU functionaries for its Second Assessment and Calibration for Local Government Support Fund Projects for FY 2021-2022 today, November 25, 2022, via Zoom Video Conference platform.

The provincial Assessment and calibration aimed to fortify the coordination between the LGUs and the Department in pursuing its collective goal of providing the best services to the community through the successful implementation of priority local development projects.

To further promote and sustain a cleaner Manila Bay, DILG Tarlac spearheaded a clean-up drive in its Provincial Showcase, Barangay Canarem, Victoria, Tarlac on November 29, 2022. The activity was well-participated in by Mayor Rex C. Villa Agustin, Vice Mayor Tristan Reevo P. Guiam, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Sangguniang Barangay Members, MLGOO Cherry Eve M. Mesina, DILG Tarlac Provincial Office Personnel, and LGU staff.
 
As part of the Manila Bay Region, the Province of Tarlac is participative of the said initiative, having the Municipalities of Bamban, Capas, Concepcion, La Paz, Victoria, and the City of Tarlac as its member-LGUs. Our law provides the mandatory clean-up, rehabilitation, and preservation of the Manila Bay by various National Government Agencies through the Manila Bay Clean Up, Preservation, and Rehabilitation Project (MBCURP), pursuant to the right of the people toward a balanced and healthful ecology.
