OIC-Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Lee Allen B. Pineda in coordination with Municipal Agriculture Officer (MAO) Diomedes E. Lucero conducted an inspection-visit last March 18, 2015 of the 1-unit four wheel drive tractor amounting to Php 1,300,000.00 procured by the Municipality of San Marcelino, Zambales through the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF).

PCF is an incentive fund given to eligible LGUs in the form of counterpart funding for local development projects in recognition of their transparency and accountability. The Municipality of San Marcelino, Zambales received the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) because of its exemplary performance in internal housekeeping particularly in the areas of planning, fiscal management, transparency and accountability, and valuing performance monitoring.

The LGU received the PCF incentive amounting to one million pesos and provided a counterpart funding of three hundred thousand pesos.
The new tractor will help farmers prepare their farmland with less cost and time. The project is part of the Municipality’s effort to enhance the socio-economic development of the agricultural sector.
