The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales held its Provincial Team Conference (PTC) on May 30, 2023 at the DILG Zambales Provincial Office–to continuously improve its service delivery in the implementation of the Department's programs, projects, and activities (PPAs).
Field Officers were kept abreast of the status of the LGU's reports submission under Capability Development Section (CDS), Monitoring and Evaluation Section (MES), and Locally Funded Projects (LFPs). Likewise, results of the various assessments and audits such as the Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentives Award (LTIA), Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC), Peace and Order Council (POC), Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) and Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) were also presented to provide feedback on the LGUs' functionality performance for the past year.
Moreover, the conference served as a "kumustahan" where field officers were given the chance to share their experiences and best practices as well as raise their issues and concerns in the implementation of various PPAs in their respective LGU assignments.
LGOO VII Melissa D. Nipal, Cluster Team Leader also provided some insights and recommendations with regards to the recently concluded SGLG Pre-assessment and encouraged the FOs to take proactive actions and influence the LGUs to make the SGLG–their way of service delivery.
Lastly, PD Moral gave his appreciation to all the field officers in their sacrifices, efforts and commitment to provide better service delivery to the clientele that the Department serves. He hopes that in the coming years, more LGUs in Zambales will be recognized in different facets of local governance.
