                 AN AUDIO VIDEO PRESENTATION    

 

       DILG Region 3 implemented the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Office and one of its Civil Society Organization (CSO) partner represented by the Information Technology (IT) Industry through the conduct of a Training-Workshop on LGU Webpage Development.  The first school was held last February 26-28, 2013 at Oxford Hotel, Clarkfield, Pampanga.  Sixty four (64) participants coming from 24 municipalities were represented by their IT personnel, Municipal Development Planning Coordinator (MPDC) staff, tourism officers and other municipal representatives.

                                                                                                                                                    The Department of the Interior and Local Government RO3 conducted a workshop last February 21, 2013 to initialize planning stages of project on LGU Database establishment.


   The project is the regional office’s own initiative to create, develop and establish a database which shall contain information about the LGU, not limited to its basic, socio-economic, environment and administrative profiles. The database shall serve as “201 file” of the LGU, venue or source of information and a tool which can be utilized in crafting a program or in providing technical assistance to the LGU and other related services.

 

   Consistent with the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Plan (NDRRM Plan), the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 3 as Vice-Chair on Disaster Preparedness, in coordination with the Office of Civil Defense R3, convened the lead agencies in charge of the said DRRM Priority Area.

  

   The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 3 as chair of the Regional Poverty Reduction Action Team (RPRAT) of Central Luzon conducted the 2nd RPRAT meeting last Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at DILG Region 3 Conference Room to prepare and plan for the validation of the LPRAPs to be submitted by the LPRATs of the 52 focused cities and municipalities of the region.  This meeting was aimed to address issues and concerns of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Teams (LPRATs) towards the finalization of their respective Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAPs).

      The Manila Bay Coordinating Unit of the DILG R3 together with the other mandamus agencies composed of the Technical Working Group (Core Group) conducted its coordination meeting last February 11, 2013 at the DILG Conference Room, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.


   The meeting, the first activity of the group this year, is part of the planning and assessment activities which the core group undertakes periodically in order to measure the effects of their efforts in cleaning the Manila Bay Watershed Areas.

 

   The City of San Fernando once again, was hailed as the Regional Winner in the Component City Category of the 2012 Local Legislative Award (LLA).  The award was presented by DILG Regional Director Florida M. Dijan, assisted by DILG Pampanga Provincial Director Myrvi M. Fabia during the city’s Monday Flag Raising Ceremony on February 11, 2013 at Plaza de Arrozal, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
