Barangay officials from the 18 barangays of San Luis, Aurora participated in the training on Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Module I - Data Collection and Field Editing on February 22 and 23, 2012 at San Luis National High School. The Local Government Unit of San Luis headed by Mayor Annabelle C. Tangson believes that CBMS can provide an accurate and reliable data to determine the extent of poverty, know the people’s needs and formulate policies and programs that will help improve their plight. DILG Regional Technical Team headed by CDD Chief Darwin David and MED OIC Chief Lerrie Hernandez provided technical assistance to the said program as well as to the other programs such as BGPMS and SaLiNTubig. Likewise, DILG Aurora Provincial Director Renato G. Bernardino said that CBMS is an essential basis of planning that will help the LGU to improve its services and the DILG to identify the programs suited for the LGU.
