The recently constructed 67.58 kW Solar Panels Project, situated in the vicinity of Bataan National High School Senior High School (BNHS-SHS) in the City of Balanga, is a noteworthy renewable energy endeavor made possible through the FY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance – Incentive Fund (SGLGIF). Through a meticulous process of passing the SGLG assessment the City of Balanga received Php 7 million as an incentive. The LGU prioritized installing solar panels atop school buildings, with the primary objective of harnessing solar energy and diminishing reliance on conventional energy sources.

On January 23, 2024, DILG Bataan held the Reorientation on the Enhanced Guidelines on the Operationalization of the Child Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA), Local Councils for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and Local Committees on Anti-trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) via Zoom.
