DILG NUEVA ECIJA ATTENDED THE PROVINCIAL JOINT SECURITY CONTROL CENTER MEETING (PJSCC)

 

Director Renato G. Bernardino, the DILG Nueva Ecija Director, attended the first Provincial Joint Security Control Center (PJSCC) Meeting on February 7, 2022 at the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office together with the COMELEC, PNP, AFP and DOH.

The meeting aims to unify the ongoing and future election-related activities to ensure that the upcoming political activities will lead to an orderly and peaceful election. All Election Officers and Chiefs of Police of the province were also present during the said meeting.

Atty. Fernando F. Cot, Provincial Election Supervisor, highlighted the official Voter Registration Information Campaign “VOTE SAFE PILIPINAS” during his welcome remarks.

Further, updates on COMELEC Resolutions are presented by Atty. Julio Nicanor C. Guinto and Mr. Allan B. Aseron, Election Officers of Cabanatuan City and Pantabangan respectively. The AFP and PNP also discussed the Security Preparations for the 2022 Elections.

Dr. Edwin V. Santiago, Provincial DOH Officer, reminded the attendees to strictly observe and follow the health protocols during the campaign period and moreover on the day of election to avoid or minimize the spread of COVID-19.

Towards the end of the meeting, each member of the PJSCC gave their respective words of Guidance to attain the orderly, safe and peaceful election in this time of pandemic.


 

Potable Water Supply under AM 2020 in Nueva Ecija inaugurated

 

Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija – The Locally Funded Project (LFP) Team of DILG Nueva Ecija, on behalf of Provincial Director Renato G. Bernardino, graced the blessing and inauguration of the project entitled "Potable Water Supply - New Construction of Level II Potable Water System" funded under the F.Y. 2020 Assistance to Municipalities (AM) Program in Brgy. Cuyapa, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija on February 03, 2022.

The LFP Team together with Honorable Mayor Jobby P. Emata, Honorable Vice-Mayor Victorino V. Sabino and LGOO VI Gretchen A. Urgente of DILG Gabaldon led the inauguration of the project. The Local Government Unit (LGU) functionaries and barangay officials of Cuyapa were also present in the activity.

“Isang patunay sa magandang implementasyon ang patuloy na paggawad ng mga proyekto sa isang Munisipalidad”, saidDILG Engineer III John Carlo R. Tadeo in his remarks. He acknowledged the efforts and hard work of Mayor Emata and LGU functionaries on the implementation of the project and for ensuring that it will be operational to cater the needs of the beneficiaries.

On the other hand, Mayor Emata expressed his gratitude to the DILG for the aid provided through the AM Program. He said that having an accessible potable water supply would benefit the whole barangay, thus, he anticipates the cooperation of his constituents as he aspires on upgrading the said project into Level III Potable Water System.

AM Program is a program of the National Government implemented through the DILG which seeks to assist municipalities in delivering basic services to their constituents by providing financial subsidy to municipalities for the implementation of their projects as part of the General Appropriations Act (GAA) under Local Government Support Fund.

 

 

The DILG Nueva Ecija organized a virtual training on SICAP-BADAC or Strengthening the Institutional Capacities of Barangay Drug-Abuse Council last November 24-26, 2021 via Zoom Application.

The three-day activity started with an Opening Message from LGOO VII Ariel G. Espinosa, Cluster II Team Leader where he emphasized the roles of the barangays in the drug-clearing operations.

This orientation aims to capacitate the 849 barangays of Nueva Ecija in carrying out their functions in the country’s fight against illegal drugs through the discussion of Human Rights-based, Gender-sensitive and Child-friendly Approaches in the Performance of BADAC Duties, Establishing an Aftercare and Reintegration Program, Family Drug Abuse Prevention Program, The Science of Addiction, Youth and Drug Addiction, and Community-based Drug Rehabilitation (CBDRP) Program as well as the Roles of BADAC on the Conduct of CBDRP.

In collaboration with the Resource Persons from CHR, PDEA, DOH, RJJWC, and NYC, the DILG NE ensured the provision of capacity development needed by the members BADACs in the performance of their duties.

 

 

 

 

DILG NE Calibrates 2021 Performance Rating

 

The Department of Interior and Local Government Provincial Office of Nueva Ecija conducted a calibration of the 2nd semester 2021 SPMS Performance Rating via Zoom Application on January 21, 2022.

The said calibration was conducted to ensure correlation of ratings with the standards in accomplishing the SPMS forms under its three key points - Strategic Priorities, Core and Support Functions.

The Videoconference was facilitated by LGOO II Angelyn B. De Guzman starting off the meeting with a prayer and a roll call of Field Officers by their respective Cluster Team Leaders LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera for Cluster I, and LGOO VII Ariel G. Espinosa for Cluster II. The opening remarks was delivered by the Provincial Office’s Program Manager, LGOO VI Alfa Krista C. Reyes in behalf of Provincial Director Renato G. Bernardino.

The Regional Memorandum for the Submission of 2nd Semester (July to December) C.Y. 2021 SPMS Performance Ratings in Manual Form and date of submissions were presented, and all personnel were assigned to break out rooms to further discuss the SPMS forms and identify their relevant functions relative to their workload.

After the break out room discussions have been concluded, announcements and reminders were given before the meeting came to a close.

 

 

 

With the nationwide implementation of the Alert Level System for COVID-19, the DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office in coordination with the DOH Nueva Ecija, conducted the Provincial Orientation on the Guidelines of the Alert Level System on November 22, 2021 via Zoom Meeting Application.

The activity was attended by the City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs), DILG and LGU hired Contact Tracers, Members of the BHERTs and other concerned LGU Functionaries in the province. The aim of this activity was to orient the participants on the salient features of the recently issued IATF-MEID guidelines. Mr. Jonar Angelo Dungca of DOH- Nueva Ecija presented the Matrices on how to determine the Alert Level Systems. These systems refer to the new Community Quarantine Classifications as strategy against COVID-19 covering entire cities, municipalities and/or regions; through System Indicators, Triggers and Thresholds. He also discussed the summary of action points per Alert level and emphasized that these levels give emphasis on high-risk activities (Closed, Crowded, Close Contact) and implementation of granular lockdowns.

On the other hand, LGOO III Vivorey S. Lapitan of DILG Nueva Ecija, discussed the guidelines for areas under Alerts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. He enumerated the allowed activities and various exemptions per alert level. He also reiterated to always observe the minimum public health standards (MMPHS) with regard to the implementation of the said guidelines.
As we adhere to the new quarantine classifications, we are encouraged to embrace the new normal and intensify our efforts to fight against COVID-19. As mentioned by Mr. Dungca, “we learn to live with the virus”.
