DILG Bataan recognized its field officers and PO units for their outstanding contributions and exemplary performance in carrying out the Department’s programs for this year through its Gawad Samat: “Honoring the Pandemic Achievers” in a virtual awarding ceremony on December 21, 2020 via Zoom.

LGOO VI Jomar Cruz of the City of Balanga was hailed as the best field officer of the year (1st Place) in the province. She was followed by LGOO VI Cristy Blanco of Dinalupihan (2nd place) and LGOO VI Annie Hipolito of Orion (3rd Place).

DILG R3 Regional Director Julie Daquioag graced the virtual awarding and congratulated the team for its numerous innovations and unique practices to carry out the mandates of the Department. RD Daquioag also expressed her gratitude to DILG Bataan on their accomplishments that highly contributed to the overall performance of DILG R3 this year.

In her message, Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano commended the team which untiringly committed their dedication at work despite the pandemic. Dir. Soriano also recognized the team’s effort, particularly the field officers for their unwavering service in implementing the DILG programs to their respective LGUs.

“Gawad Samat” which was institutionalized in 2018 is an award system that recognizes DILG Bataan units and personnel for their excellent, effective and competent implementation of DILG programs. Coined from Mt. Samat, the historic mountain in the province, the recognition represents the highest degree of quality of work in DILG Bataan, as its personnel continue to be the upholders of excellence in government service.

For this year, a virtual awarding ceremony was prepared and hosted by the Provincial Office personnel. Criteria for this year’s winners were carefully prepared with various indicators and were modified to adapt to the changes that pushed the working force to be more innovative in achieving the PPA outcomes despite the current situation.

Top-performing field officers for MES, Legal/8888, CDS and LFP programs were also awarded.

The Finance and Administrative Section (FAS) was recognized as the best implementing section in the provincial office who rose to the occasion this year especially in effectively implementing the DILG-hired contact tracers program in the province
