Balanga City, Bataan — On September 21, 2024, DILG Bataan, led by Provincial Director Belina Herman, CESO V, took part in the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) Day at Wetland Nature Park in Brgy. Tortugas, Balanga City.
The initiative brought together about three hundred (300) participants, including local govt officials, representatives from national govt agencies, non-government organizations, business sectors and volunteers, for a common cause: to protect and preserve the environment. This year’s theme, “Clean Seas for Blue Economy,” underscored the importance of coastal ecosystems in supporting livelihoods and sustaining biodiversity.
The collective effort of the community and stakeholders highlights a strong commitment to paving a sustainable future, ensuring that our seas remain vibrant for generations to come.
