To discuss pressing safety concerns and further enhance the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders, a special session of the Provincial Peace and Order Council was held and presided over by Governor Joet Garcia on September 19, 2024, at The Bunker, Balanga City, Bataan.
Main discussants included PCPT Ian Vinluan (PNP Bataan) and PMAJ Aris Tormo (PNP Maritime Group), who presented updates on the peace and order cases and actions against illegal fishing activities in the province respectively.
Meanwhile, Governor Garcia provided new information on oil spill management in Limay and Mariveles and the lifting of the state of calamity regarding Typhoon Carina. Moreover, PD Belina Herman (DILG Bataan) presented the LGUs schedule of Barangay Drug Clearing Program Orientation with PDEA.
Gov. Garcia then concluded the meeting by urging all council members to commit to ongoing efforts and actions, emphasizing that these matters are of significant importance and demand urgent focus to ensure safety in Bataan.
