Barangay Lote Puerto Rivas of Balanga City and Barangay San Antonio of Bagac showcased their environmental initiatives during the 2024 Barangay Ecological Compliance Assessment (BECA) regional validation held today, September 23, 2024.
Led by Punong Barangay Ricardo Sioson, Jr. and Punong Barangay Reynaldo Umandap, the two barangays presented their best practices in environmental management, aiming for top honors in the city and municipal categories.
The Regional Assessment Committee (RAC), composed of DILG R3, DENR R3, DENR-EMB, and PPCRP evaluated the barangays compliance with the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, focusing on waste management practices and sustainability initiatives.
