To prepare the LGUs for the upcoming 2022 Local Council for the Protection Children (LCPC) functionality assessment, DILG Bataan held a provincial orientation via Zoom platform on February 2, 2022.
Presented in the virtual meeting is the thorough discussion of the DILG MC No. 2021-039 titled "Comprehensive Guidelines for the Establishment, Strengthening and Monitoring of the LCPC in all Levels."
Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano, Cluster Head Melissa Nipal, provincial IMTF members, C/MLGOOs, Program Manager, Local Social Welfare and Development Officers and the LCPC focal persons of the 12 component LGUs of the province participated in the orientation. LGOO II Joanna Marie Cruz discussed the new guidelines in the unified LCPC policy in preparation for the 2022 assessment.
LCPCs are organized at the provincial, city/municipal and barangay level and spearheads in the promotion and protection of the rights of children and ensures child-friendly local governance.
