With the nationwide implementation of the Alert Level System for COVID-19, the DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office in coordination with the DOH Nueva Ecija, conducted the Provincial Orientation on the Guidelines of the Alert Level System on November 22, 2021 via Zoom Meeting Application.

The activity was attended by the City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs), DILG and LGU hired Contact Tracers, Members of the BHERTs and other concerned LGU Functionaries in the province. The aim of this activity was to orient the participants on the salient features of the recently issued IATF-MEID guidelines. Mr. Jonar Angelo Dungca of DOH- Nueva Ecija presented the Matrices on how to determine the Alert Level Systems. These systems refer to the new Community Quarantine Classifications as strategy against COVID-19 covering entire cities, municipalities and/or regions; through System Indicators, Triggers and Thresholds. He also discussed the summary of action points per Alert level and emphasized that these levels give emphasis on high-risk activities (Closed, Crowded, Close Contact) and implementation of granular lockdowns.

On the other hand, LGOO III Vivorey S. Lapitan of DILG Nueva Ecija, discussed the guidelines for areas under Alerts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. He enumerated the allowed activities and various exemptions per alert level. He also reiterated to always observe the minimum public health standards (MMPHS) with regard to the implementation of the said guidelines.
As we adhere to the new quarantine classifications, we are encouraged to embrace the new normal and intensify our efforts to fight against COVID-19. As mentioned by Mr. Dungca, “we learn to live with the virus”.

 

 

DILG Nueva Ecija conducted a two-day Assessment for the Functionality of LCAT-VAWC CY 2019 and 2020 in the Province of Nueva Ecija on October 19-20, 2021 via Zoom Meetings Application.

It was carried out in accordance to the Department’s Memorandum Circular No. 2020-006 regarding “Guidelines in Monitoring the Functionality Assessment of Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Againts Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC).

The initial run of the LCAT-VAWC functionality assessment was deferred in 2020 due to the declaration of State of Public Health Emergency and in view of the country’s shift to a more relaxed community quarantine measures, it is deemed necessary to resume the said assessment.

The audit was covered the performance in CY 2019 and 2020 and assessed based on four (4) indicators: 1. Organization, 2. Meeting, 3. Policies, 4. Accomplishments. The activity is aimed to assess the City/Municipal Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (C/MCAT-VAWC) based on the documents presented using LCAT-VAWC Form No. 1 and discuss with the LCE the outcome of the assessment and provide recommended actions to address issues concerning the functionality of C/MCAT-VAWC.

The activity was participated by the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Team representatives chaired by LGOO VI Alfa Krista C. Reyes, together with the representatives from the Nueva Ecija Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office, and KALIPI - Civil Society Organization. Also present in the virtual activity were LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, Cluster I Team Leader, LGOO VII Ariel G. Espinosa, Cluster II Team Leader, LGOO II Maria Gabriela Isabel C. Bernardez, LCAT-VAWC Provincial Focal Person and ADA IV Millicent Kaye I. Velasquez, AFP.

In view of the Regional Memorandum dated August 6, 2021 regarding Human Resource Program to be conducted in order to give priority to the employee's health and welfare, the DILG Nueva Ecija, headed by Provincial Director Renato G. Bernardino, conducted a Tree Planting cum Team Building Activity last October 27, 2021.

All Provincial and Field Office personnel were encouraged to join the said activity with an aim to contribute to the Pantabangan Local Government Unit’s efforts to protect and nurture its environment. A total of 100 pine trees were planted in the LGU’s Reforestation Area located in KM 7, Brgy. Malbang, Pantabangan.

After planting trees, the personnel gathered for the team building activity wherein the Provincial Office staff prepared some physically-distanced games that brought out the team player in everyone.

The Department understands that working in the middle of pandemic could be taking a toll on everyone’s mental and physical health. The Human Resource Program served as a great opportunity for the personnel to renew their strength and at the same time strengthen camaraderie among others.
