The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office III in coordination with the DILG Bataan and in partnership with the Provincial Government conducted a WEmboree on June 24-25 2015 at Sibul Nature Resort, Abucay, Bataan. The activity is a component of Operation Listo which aims to involve and empower our youth towards the attainment of a disaster resilient communities . The youth aged 18 to 30 from different city/municipalities of Bataan participated in the activity while the Officers and members of the PDRRMO PNP, BFP, Red Cross served as co-facilitators and Resource Persons.

DINALUPIHAN, Bataan, May 28 (PIA) – Indigenous communities up in the hilly parts of the province will finally have clean and potable supply of water after Interior and Local Government Sec. Mar Roxas handed over P8.5 million in checks to various municipalities for their anti-poverty projects.

A total of 114 barangay officials from nine LGUs in the province of Bataan joined the 2nd Batch Skills Training cum DILG Programs, Projects and Activities and GAD Orientation seminar on February 25-27, 2015 at Subic Peninsular Hotel, SBMA, Subic, Zambales.

   The DILG Region 3 awarded Performance Challenge Fund worth one (1) Million pesos each to the Municipalities of Pilar and Bagac, Bataan. Both LGUs were rewarded for being recipients of the highly coveted 2012 scaled-up Seal of Good Housekeeping Silver level.

   The incentive was given on March 12, 2014 by CDD Chief Martin Porres B. Moral on behalf of RD Florida M. Dijan to the Local Chief Executives of both LGUs, namely: 1) Hon. Mayor Alicia D. Pizarro, Pilar, Bataan and 2) Hon. Mayor Rommel V. Del Rosario.

  The Department is optimistic that the PCF is will entice eligible LGUs in the form of a counterpart fund to finance high impact local development projects identified as priority by the LGU. The Municipality of Pilar proposed for concreting the Alauli Farm to Market Road Project which aims to facilitate the delivery of government services to the target beneficiaries of 145 families and 30 farmers in the area; while Bagac proposed for the construction project of Slaughterhouse building which will increase revenues and address the pollution of the environment benefiting more than 27,000 population consuming meat of the LGU.
