Angeles City received a Certificate of Commendation from DILG-Central Luzon on December 13 at Kingsborough International Convention Center during the Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Summit cum Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Awarding.

 DILG-Central Luzon awarded 97 Local Government Units for exemplary efforts in complementing the national government's anti-illegal drugs campaign and for obtaining a High Functionality Rating during the recently conducted 2019 and 2020 ADAC Performance Regional Audit. The Angeles City Anti-Drug Abuse Council notched a high functional performance in the 2020 audit.

The Local ADACs were assessed based on 6 indicators -Organization/ Reorganization of ADAC, Allocation of Substantial Amount for Anti-Illegal Drug Activities (as indicated in the ADAC Plan), Implementation of Plans and Programs, Support to ADACs of Component LGUs, Conduct of Meetings and Innovations.

The DILG conducts annual ADAC Performance Audit to assess the functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs based on the existing issuances and policies, determine anti-illegal drug innovations and practices at all levels and recognize the best performing ADACs.
