"We're getting things done." This statement by PD Myra Moral-Soriano summed up the first quarter accomplishment of the 11 municipalities of Bataan during the pioneer Provincial Calibration of Locally-Funded Projects (LFPs) on March 19, 2021 via Zoom.

The online gathering aimed to keep every LGU-implementer on the same page with the physical and financial progress of the projects under FY 2019 and FY 2020 Assistance to Municipalities (AM) and Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) Programs. Aside from the project statistics, Provincial Engineers Mark Pumares and Michael Masiclat also thoroughly presented the status of submission of documentary requirements as well as the latest standing of the province in updating the SubayBAYAN Portal.

CDS Chief Johnny Mandocdoc, as the provincial focal person, expressed his gratitude to the attending municipal mayors, engineers, accountants, planning and development coordinators, local government operations officers, and other LGU personnel, for their exemplary performance in the implementation of the FY 2020 AM projects. He also laid out the upcoming activities of the DILG Bataan LFP Team.

LGOO II Donna Joy Nacar, the focal person for CSO-related activities discussed the administration of Online Survey on Training Methods, as part of the ongoing capacity development program for CSOs in the local special bodies.

As of one the highlights of the event, five LGUs namely Bagac, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Limay and Samal, were given Certificates of Commendation for having successfully completed their local projects before the quarter ends. The respective SubayBAYAN encoders of said municipalities also received recognition for their accuracy and promptness in updating the LFP system.

"Nakikita namin how you strive—kasama namin kayo on how we lift up the status of Bataan when it comes to the implementation of these LFPs—and we appreciate you for that," Cluster Head Melissa Nipal capped off the day rekindling the spirit of 1Bataan that in the process of achieving goals, no LGU should be left behind.
