As part of its efforts to streamline regulatory processes in the LGU, the municipality of Limay launched the first ever Electronic Business Permit and Licensing System (eBPLS) developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in the province of Bataan via a virtual ceremonial launching on September 17, 2020.
Said system is a cloud-based software that allows owners to file and renew application for business permits online and enable the LGU to process their application electronically.
The initiative, in partnership with DICT, DILG and DTI is Limay's response to foster continuous growth and economic development in the LGU and provide fast and efficient service to its constituents. This is also in compliance with RA 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 and DILG-DTI-DICT Joint Memorandum Circular 2016-01.
The launching was attended by DICT Government Digital Transformation Bureau Director Leo Cipriano Urbiztondo Jr., DICT Luzon Cluster 2 Regional Director Reynaldo Sy, DICT Bataan Provincial Head Edriel Miranda, DILG Bataan Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano, MLGOO Evelyn Matias and LGU personnel of Limay.
During the activity, PD Moral-Soriano and MLGOO Matias gave congratulatory messages and welcome remarks, respectively to LGU Limay for a great effort to formally launch the system.
