BAGAC, BATAAN – DILG Bataan held its annual Gawad Samat 2024 at Rancho Bernardo Luxury Villas and Resort on December 13, 2024. With the theme “Tea and Transitions: Wrapping up 2024, Toasting to 2025,” the event brought together DILG Bataan provincial office personnel and field officers to recognize outstanding performances in implementing DILG programs and delivering exemplary public service.

Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, highlighted the spirit of harmonious relationship and commitment in her message. “May this season of joy remind us of the values of unity, generosity, and compassion. Let us carry these with us as we continue to work together for a brighter and more progressive Bataan.

She further urged the team to remain mahusay, maaasahan, and, most importantly, matitinong kawani ng pamahalaan, living up to the expectations of the constituents.

The highlight of the program was the announcement of the Gawad Samat awardees for the city and municipal local government operations officers (C/MLGOOs), with the top honor going to LGOO VI Allan Don Malonzo. Below is the full list of awardees:

During the program, LGOO VI Allan Don Malonzo, this year’s Gawad Samat winner, gave a heartfelt message of gratitude. He emphasized that the award is a reflection of the collective efforts of the entire DILG Bataan team, stating that he could not have achieved his success without the support and collaboration of his colleagues.

The tea-party-themed ceremony also recognized the significant contributions of C/MLGOOs in successfully implementing various DILG programs, earning their LGUs accolades such as the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Award, Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Award (LTIA), Fisheries Compliance Audit (FishCA), and Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA).

The event concluded with Cluster Team Leader Cristy Blanco commending the team’s camaraderie and hard work throughout the year. She also encouraged everyone to aim for greater achievements in 2025.

With steaming cups of tea and heartfelt acknowledgments, the DILG Bataan team wrapped up 2024 with a renewed commitment to public service and optimism for the year ahead.
