In the heart of Barangay Panilao, nestled amid the historic town of Pilar, Bataan, a vital transformation is underway. The completion of a newly-built water system heralds a new era of prosperity and well-being for its residents, made possible through the FY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF).
With meticulous planning and efforts in upholding good local governance, the Municipality of Pilar secured Php 5 million in incentives, igniting a ripple effect of progress that is felt throughout the community. Because of this, gone are the days of uncertainty and inconvenience as Panilao's five thousand (5,000) inhabitants revel in the assurance of a reliable water supply.
The local chief executive, Mayor Carlos Pizarro, Jr., extends his heartfelt appreciation for the collective endeavor that brought this transformative project to fruition.
"Malaking bagay po ang proyekto na ito dahil alam naman po natin na ang tubig ay isa sa mga pangangailangan po ng ating mga kababayan,” the mayor stated. He added that the improved water quality has also brought a sense of relief to the constituents, knowing that they can now drink clean, potable water straight from their taps.
No longer plagued by the specter of shortages, residents and vendors alike can now carry out their daily activities with confidence and ease, unhindered by water supply disruptions or limitations.
Indeed, this project is proof that when people work together, they can make life better for everyone. Beyond just providing water, it's helping local businesses thrive. As Panilao moves forward, this project will keep making a difference for years to come.
