The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Abucay demonstrated its commitment to community safety by organizing the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the 1st quarter of the year earlier today, March 25, 2024.
The community drill took place at Sitio Bakawan in Barangay Wawa, emphasizing the importance of disaster preparedness and response.
Residents actively participated, practicing essential earthquake response and evacuation protocols to enhance their readiness in critical situations. MDRRMO, along with the BFP, PNP, and DILG Abucay, served as evaluators for the drill, ensuring its effectiveness.
Local officials, led by Punong Barangay Noel Pring, were commended by the evaluators for their support and the successful execution of the drill. Suggestions for further improvements were also provided to enhance future preparedness efforts.
