CITY OF BALANGA - The Philippine Moral Transformation (PMT) Program of the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Moral Transformation and Religious Affairs (OPAMTRA) was successfully launched in the province on June 17, 2022.
OPAMTRA Presidential Adviser Grepor Belgica, Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia and the provincial government of Bataan led the program held at Patio Isadora, Lou-is Resort, City of Balanga.
DILG R3 ARD Jay Timbreza and DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman also graced the activity wherein the PMT Program forms part of the continued campaign of the national government against corruption, illegal drugs and criminality.
Also present during the launching was PNP Bataan Provincial Director Col. Rommel Velasco, 12 chiefs of police, various LGU functionaries and punong barangays of Bataan.
To signify the partnership of OPAMTRA and the provincial government in the implementation of the PMT program in Bataan, Presidential Adviser Belgica, Mayor Garcia, ARD Timbreza, PD Herman and Col. Velasco led the MOA and covenant signing, along with OPAMTRA National Executive Director Sabino Canela, PNP and barangay officials in the province.
The PMT Program which also aims to help families and barangays to develop godly moral characters and work ethics, likewise promotes intervention and support to Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs), which will significantly help in the success of the national government's campaign against illegal drugs.
